HISTORY OF THE COMPANY
In 1979, Saha Patanapibul Group ventured into agro-export business. With
Kyoko Co., Ltd. of Japan as its partner, Sahachol Food Supplies Co., Ltd. was founded.
The early stage of operation, under B.O.I. support, saw the production of pickled ginger
and cucumber for export to Japan.
In 1980, the company became involved in the promotion of young ginger farming in
order to strictly control the production quality to meet with the standard specified by the export market.
In 1983, saw the promotion of Japanese-variety cucumber growing to produce salted pickles for export.
In 1985, the processing line was also expanded to produce other varieties of pickles. With technical assistance and recipes from Nozu Tsukemono Shokuhin Co., Ltd.,
a subsidiary of Q.P. Corporation of Japan; these products carry the brand name NOZU.
In 1978, the production line began processing Konjac, Known to be healthy food, exclusively for export. Under B.O.I. promotion, the principal markets for processed Konjac are Japan and USA.
In 1988, vacuum bottling machine was installed upgrading the quality of product expanded its capacity to produce 6 more types of pickles with Chinese flavors for the Asian market under the name KIMPAI
Toward the end of 1988, Japanese-flavored pickles were exported to Japan.
In 1992, the restaurant KONYAKUYA with the concept of ‘3F’ (feeling fine, flavorful
and fatless) was opened in front of the Sriracha Saha Group Industrial Park. KONYAKUYA features a wide range of delicious dishes cooked with processed Konjac.
In 1995, KONYAKKY, a fiber-rich fruit flavored drink made from Konjac Flour was launched.
In 1997, KONYAKKY GLUCOMANNAN DRY IN CAPSULE was introduced to the market.
In 1997, Glucomannan Dry used as raw material for production of snacks and meat products for both export and domestic markets was added to the production capacity. The project obtained 7-year support from the B.O.I.
Also in 1997, the brand name KONYAKKY became a registered trademark in 30 countries.

In 1995, the company participated in the workshop ‘Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points’ or HACCP organized by the National Committee of International Foods Standard.
An Honorary Certificate in recognition of hygienic standard reviewed and evaluated by
the Bureau of Industrial Product Standard, Ministry of Industry, was granted on August 21, 1996. |
